Observations, Flowers & Snow
Wuling Farm is an access point for hikes to Xueshan Main and East Peaks and the Holy Ridge, and a popular location for cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. Cold air can collect in the valley. During cold, damp weather, a High Potential for Ice / Snow alert may indicate fog or icing along Highway 7A between Siyuan Pass and Wuling. Open the cameras to check actual visibility. Cameras are arranged along Highway 7A from Siyuan Pass (about 1,950 m) to the Wuling junction.
- These cameras do not show snow conditions directly in Xueshan Cirque. During cold waves, use Siyuan Pass temperature and icing alerts as references.
Before Going Up
- Services are scarce after entering Highway 7A. Fill up and bring warm clothing.
- Cherry blossom season (roughly February) and snowfall may bring road traffic controls, while the farm may limit visitor numbers. Check official road and Wuling Farm notices.
- Entry permits are required for certain hikes in Shei-Pa National Park. Check park notices for trailhead weather and access.
