Gas Stations Along the Route (in travel order, from OpenStreetMap)
- ⛽ CPC
Distances between stations are approximate values calculated along the route geometry (only gas stations within 500 m of the route are counted). OpenStreetMap is edited by volunteers, so stations may be missing or closed; check business hours on site. On remote stretches, plan your fuel carefully rather than relying on this data alone.
Elevation Profile (Jinshan ⇄ Zhuzihu Intersection; highest approx. 790 m, lowest approx. 9 m)
The horizontal axis is distance along the route; the vertical axis is elevation (the height scale is exaggerated, so slopes look steeper than they are). Dots mark cameras (tappable) and stations. Elevation is estimated from AWS terrain data; tunnel and bridge sections are interpolated between their ends, so errors of several tens of meters are possible. For planning reference only.
Map
After opening the map, use the buttons to toggle layers. Dot colors follow the estimated road surface; tap a dot to see weather and the camera. Rainfall, temperature, and wind are from the nearest station to each point; road surface moisture is an estimate. Gas stations, stores, restaurants, and attractions come from OpenStreetMap and only include places near the route; check business hours and conditions on site. For closures and traffic control, rely on the Highway Bureau live traffic information ↗. The route line runs from Jinshan to Zhuzihu Intersection, joined from the OpenStreetMap road network. Yangjin Highway is the mountain section of Provincial Highway 2A between Yangmingshan and Jinshan. Its high point near Xiaoyoukeng is around 800 m above sea level. Weather at the summit may be completely different from the foothills: afternoon fog can rapidly reduce visibility, while winter northeast monsoon winds bring cold, wet conditions. Check the Xiaoyoukeng camera before leaving.
The Highway Bureau has no publicly available cameras on the mountain section itself. This page uses a Highway Bureau camera near Jinshan and an official Yangmingshan National Park live stream from Xiaoyoukeng Parking Lot. Conditions near Macao and Bayan are estimated from nearby weather stations.
Highlights & Attractions
The road crosses Yangmingshan National Park, with volcanic and geothermal scenery. Highlights include Xiaoyoukeng, Macao Bridge, Bayan, and Jinshan Old Street.
Typical Weather
Strong northeast monsoon conditions bring winter fog and rain. Frost may form around Xiaoyoukeng during cold waves.
Riding Tips
Expect steep grades, sharp curves, and very limited visibility in dense fog. Use your headlights. Strong crosswinds are possible on Macao Bridge.
